OUR PURPOSE

We want to make home ownership for everyone

Buying a home used to be an important step towards a financially stable future. Open to almost everyone.

Today, renting has become the new (depressing) normal for under 35 year olds. We don't believe it has to be this way.

OUR VISION

We see a world where home ownership is accessible for all

We're going to unlock that reality for 1 million homeowners by 2030.

OUR MISSION

We will innovate to unlock the future of home financing to meaningfully improve our customers' lives.

Vadim Toader and Stefan Boronea, the co-founders of Proportunity.
OUR FOUNDING STORY

As a young professional, with a few years of consultancy at one of the top firms under his belt, Vadim was ready to buy a home with his hard-earned savings...or so he thought.

With a decent salary above the UK average, he still found himself £20k short to afford the home he wanted. He was faced with the hard truth of the borrowing system. It wasn't until he met his wife, that he was able to buy a home together.

8 months later their home was offered 57% more than they bought it for because they had bought in an 'up and coming' area. That’s a pretty good return on investment!

This got him thinking of a solution that combined finance and tech to help others buy sooner and buy smarter.

With the ambition to disrupt the traditional renting and mortgage industry, he joined forces with CTO and co-founder, Stefan to build Proportunity together and make homeownership accessible for all.

We've already helped finance over £100 million worth of property sales
